“The Consolation of Philosophy” has descended upon the world—a dark masterpiece born of William J. Rogers & Urania Fantasia and Homoiousios (Guilherme Adriano), featuring Pete Rawcliffe in the voice of Urania Boethius and yours truly as Alura Maleforvent.
In the ancient depths of a crumbling paradise, Urania Boethius is exiled for his sacred gift—the mystical voice of his anima, Fantasia Philosophy. Now imprisoned in the vampyric courts of Xavaxia, he faces a grim fate at the hands of the Demoness Count, Alura, who conspires to devour his soul. Alone in a dungeon of despair, Boethius is guided only by Lady Philosophy, the inner spirit urging him to seek the light and find peace, even in the shadow of doom. A gothic tale of sorrow, fate, and yearning for the ultimate transcendence…
The short film of 12/13 minutes is approximately half dialogue and half song, with a detailed thematic score accompanying the release. It’s a collaborative piece set in the fictional worlds of LovAnaverse - marking the return of Urania Fantasia - as well as introducing new characters — most prominently the ominous antagonist Alura Maleforvent. It is an extremely dark, heavy & dramatic opus, loosely based on the Roman philosopher Boethius and his seminal work, The Consolation of Philosophy.

Featuring EMBER BELLADONNA on the glissando flute, the musicality of this song deviates from THE INFERNO DOLL’s previous releases. Heavily distorted guitars and thrashing percussion explode into a high intensity full sound. The elegant flute weaves its way through the metal instrumentation adding a haunting edge and a glimmer of hope for choosing the path into the light. Laura’s demonic harsh vocals manifest the monstrous nature in “Renfield”, while ethereal clean vocals emerge to enhance the textural variety of the song through a compelling contrast.

This is a dark love song of an immortal soul trapped in an old theatre that has become her fortress. She dances day and night to gain the strengths she needs to be whole again as she is the only one who can help her. She knows what love is but because she’s been forgotten, she cannot feel it anymore. Even though she’s still in a strange human form, once she’s ready to leave her fortress, she will become an immortal.
